    THE WHOO honors traditional Korean herbal medicine and elevates it with future-forward skincare research. Our science-backed formulas are modern reinterpretations of beauty rituals performed by the royal family during the Joseon Dynasty (circa 1392-1897). During this era of Korean history, beauty standards and aesthetic trends also shifted from before. The preference arose for a natural radiant complexion from a vibrant and flawless style.

During this pivotal time in Korean history, several now-revered skincare ingredients, like ginseng, licorice root, and thyme, were initially used for health benefits. Today, we carefully harvest these powerful plants in our Beauty Botanic Garden and combine them with contemporary skincare ingredients, like NAD, arginine, and ceramides, to bring you luxurious, time-honored formulas.
